WOMEN IN LOCAL GOVERNMENTS: THE CASE OF ISTANBUL DISTRICT FEEDERS

There are differences between men and women in many subjects such as family life, education, employment, etc. Women's political participation is blocked in many societies that see women's first task as motherhood and housework. Although women make up half of the world's population, women who still do not have equal conditions with men in some societies have the right to choose and be elected later than men. Although women have the right to choose and be elected, their political participation occurs under the conditions of underrepresented participation as it takes place under male supervision and domination.
